How to get deals on CheapTweet

What do I need to do to get deals on CheapTweet?

Nothing! Well, actually, just do exactly what you're already doing. Use Twitter to talk about your store’s deals, specials and sales in a relevant and engaging way. CheapTweet automatically finds your tweets and adds them to the site. There’s no need to reply to or direct message anyone - just tweet normally with information about your deals. And be sure to include a link! Bottom line, if you're writing Tweets about deals that are valuable to your followers, they'll most likely get on CheapTweet (and do well).

Tips on Writing Tweets

  • Be Specific

    To make sure your tweets get picked up on CheapTweet, include specific details about your deals such as the sale price, percentage price reductions or any other special offers such as free shipping. If the deal has an expiration, please state that.

  • Provide Useful Links

    Make sure you provide relevant links in your tweets. Make sure your links work, and when possible link directly to your deal and not a third-party coupon site. If you're tweeting about a specific product that's on sale in your store, link to that product page. Don't make users wade through several pages to find your special offer (they most likely won't bother).

  • Get Retweets

    If someone retweets your deal, that can influence its ranking on CheapTweet. If you keep your deal relevant and valuable and your followers spread it around, it'll benefit you here.

  • Don't Spam

    Repeatedly sending the same tweet over and over will actually hurt your chances of getting deals on our Cheapest Tweets pages, so just don't do it. Your followers won't like it and neither does CheapTweet. Don't use multiple accounts to try to post the same deal.

Use the #cheaptweet Hashtag in your tweets

We support the #cheaptweet hashtag. It's not required but if you want to make sure we find your tweet, include "#cheaptweet". Here's an example:

Even if you use the hashtag, we still filter out spam and things that aren't actually deals so make sure your tweet is relevant.

What to do if you don't see your tweet on CheapTweet

First, check your "Twitterer" page at http://cheaptweet.com/twitterers/YOUR_TWITTER_NAME. If you don't see the deal there, then try using the #cheaptweet hashtag in your tweets. If you still don't see your tweets, let us know via email or a message to @cheaptweet.

Join In - Get a CheapTweet Account

You should also sign up for a CheapTweet account. With an account, you can vote on and categorize your deals. Deals with a lot of votes show up on the Cheapest Tweets page, which means more people will see them. You don't need an account for your deals to show up on CheapTweet, just to vote and save deals.

Get Support - Tell Everyone

Tell all your friends, family, followers and customers about CheapTweet! The more people vote for your deals, the more people will see your deals. Post links to your CheapTweet Twitterer page on your website, blog or Twitter account. And remember, retweets help too, so if someone else is talking about your deal or site that will raise the status of your deals on CheapTweet.
